LemonadeLXP Launches MCP Server, Bringing Frontline Training Data Into Any AI Assistant Your Team Already Uses
Built on the open Model Context Protocol, the new capability lets staff and leaders ask their AI assistant who's certified, what's due, and where training gaps are, without logging into a separate system.
September 1, 2026 — LemonadeLXP, the AI-powered learning and knowledge platform for banks, credit unions, and fintechs, today announced the launch of its MCP Server, a new capability that connects LemonadeLXP's training and certification data directly to whatever AI assistant a financial institution's staff are already using, from Claude to Microsoft Copilot to anything else that speaks the same open standard.
LemonadeLXP already powers staff training, frontline enablement, and customer education through AI-driven learning experiences. The MCP Server extends that same AI-native foundation outward: it's built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the open standard for connecting AI assistants to real, permissioned data. Because LemonadeLXP has implemented the open standard rather than a one-off, proprietary integration, any MCP-capable AI assistant can connect, letting employees and their managers ask natural-language questions about training status without leaving the tool they already work in. LemonadeLXP has built and tested the integration against Claude, Microsoft Copilot, and Cursor; ChatGPT and Gemini Enterprise. Custom MCP connections are expected to work as well.
For years, training data has lived in one system and the tools employees use to do their jobs have lived in another. A branch manager who wants to know whether their team is certified on a new product has had to log into the LXP and pull a report. A frontline employee curious about a certification requirement has had to do the same. With the MCP Server, that question can now be asked directly inside the AI assistant they already rely on for everything else.
“Training data has typically lived in its own silo.” said John Findlay, CEO at LemonadeLXP. “The MCP Server changes that, allowing managers to now ask the AI assistant (the they already use every day) who's certified and who’s not, and get a real answer. That's the power of an AI-native LXP”
- Searching available courses and individual lessons
- Checking certification status, progress, and due dates
- Reviewing certification status across a manager's or executive's full reporting line
- Pulling a full training record for any employee within that reporting line
Every request is authenticated through OAuth 2.0 and resolved to a real, permissioned LemonadeLXP user. Managers and executives can only see the people who report to them, directly or indirectly, and the MCP Server is read-only: no training assignment, enrollment, or record can be changed through an AI assistant. Administrators enable the integration once from LemonadeLXP's admin settings; after that, employees connect with a single sign-in and consent screen. Claude Desktop users get an even simpler path, with a one-click installer available directly from their LemonadeLXP profile.
"People stay where they can see a future," said Findlay. "Now a frontline employee can ask their AI assistant what training might help them grow into a new role, and get back real courses they're actually eligible for, grounded in what they've already completed. So now career conversation is instant and ongoing."
